More than 1,100 schools and early learning centres (ELC) across Australia will receive funds to help build and develop hands-on environmental learning projects through this year’s Woolworths Junior Landcare Grants program.
Samford Community Kindergarten recently received a Woolworths Junior Landcare Grant. The aim of their project was to give the Laughing Tree Frogs, currently hiding in their outdoor play area, a safe place to live, reproduce and thrive in.
Nungurner Primary School in East Gippsland, Victoria, recently celebrated the establishment of its new Firewise Garden, a Junior Landcare project that brought all hands on deck and is sure to inspire others as they prepare for bushfire season.
