Funded by a Woolworths Junior Landcare Grant, this fantastic project at Nakara Primary School in the Northern Territory focused on creating awareness of sustainable food practices, from seed to plate.
Ross Park Primary School’s ‘ReThink and RePlace Waste’ project set about increasing awareness among parents, teachers and families about food waste and how to recycle, repurpose and reducing their waste.
City Beach Primary School’s ‘Healthy Hearts, Bodies and Minds’ project set about reviving the school’s existing garden space and involved students in sustainable practices to grow herbs, fruits, vegetables and bush tucker to create an inviting, multi-sensory garden the whole school community can now enjoy.
Schools across the country have been given the chance to share in $1 million through the 2022 Woolworths Junior Landcare Grants.
