Congratulations to the latest Junior Landcare teams who won the top prize in the 2017 State & Territory Landcare Awards! This month’s winners come from Australian Capital Territory, Northern Territory, and Queensland.
ACT: The Sustainability Unit at Lake Tuggeranong College is a student organisation that focusses on helping the local community and the school to become more sustainable through targeted campaigns and education programs, and their work with Southern ACT Catchment Group.
NT: Berry Springs Primary School and the Territory Wildlife Park have been working towards raising public awareness about the plight of the threatened Atlas Moth (Attacus Wardi), creating innovative ways to share to the wider community the plight of the moth through an integrated curriculum.
QLD: The Gilroy Community Sustainable Gardening Project brought home the prize.
