The 2017 State & Territory Landcare Awards are designed to recognise the champions of the Landcare movement who work tirelessly to protect Australia’s natural resources. There are two awards that are specifically designed to recognise and reward teams and individuals working with the next generation of Landcarers. You, your team, or a member of your community could be eligible!

The Junior Landcare Team Award is for a youth organisation or team that contributes to raising awareness, knowledge, and understanding of Landcare with young people up to the age of 18. Primary schools, secondary schools and youth groups (such as scouts) are eligible to apply if they implement Landcare practices on their own property or within the local community.

The Austcover Young Landcare Leader Award is for an individual between the ages of 15-35 who carries out and promotes excellence in Landcare through on-ground or awareness-raising activities. It is open to paid employees and volunteers. If this sounds like you, don’t be shy about nominating yourself!
