Disaster recovery and resilience
Category: News

Whilst we start the year with a new Junior Landcare website and Learning Centre we know that the holiday period for many has been impacted by bushfires and drought. To support educators, parents and carers and community groups who are dealing with the trauma and difficulties of these events here are some resources from The Australian Institute for Disaster Resilience (AIDR).

Building our resilience to disasters is an ongoing need for our changing climate. Being involved and engaged in the environment through Junior Landcare activity helps to create a stronger connection to place and improve mental health and wellbeing. Junior Landcarers we encourage you to get outside and be involved in your local environment when you can.
